The EPT USB-CPLD development system provides a flexible learning platform by combining a powerful Complex Programmable Logic Device with High Speed USB.

It is designed to provide an innovative method of developing and debugging programmable logic code.

It provides a high speed data transfer mechanism between any microcontroller (or any digital device) and a host PC.

The EPT USB-CPLD development system provides a convenient, user-friendly work flow by connecting seamlessly with Altera's Quartus II software.

The user will develop the code in the Quartus environment on a Windows Personal Computer.

The programmable logic code is then loaded into the CPLD using only the Quartus Programmer software and a standard USB cable.

The programmer hardware is built in to the EPT-570-AP.

The ActiveHost API provides a highly configurable communications interface between CPLD and host PC.

It connects transparently to the Active Transfer Library running inthe CPLD code.

welcome to another solder time with Ian today I'm going to solder to Cpl D breakout boards one is the next version of the Xilinx 9 5 7 to XL we forgot to break out a pin on the original I've got it here to refer to and then the other is a new one this is for the lattice LC 4 0 3 2 which is the low end lattice Cpl D chip I also have one for the Altera max 3000 but I don't have a chip for it the Altera rep once promised to send us some freebie dev boards and also some chip samples but we never heard back from them again so this one remains unpopulated I need to pick those up when I order from digi-key tomorrow we're probably going to solder this through-hole version of the IR shield for the Arduino this is something we've been cooking up for a while I'll be using again my flux freebie from Farnell try it out again before I write a review for the blog these are both pretty simple boards an
