hey everyone this is Michael back carbon - cord calm at our warehouse in Troy Virginia today we're going to talk plastic honeycomb panels versus plywood we're gonna do a weight comparison of both of these we're going to show some of the sound absorption properties and we're gonna have a fun experiment measure in the deflection when we stand across the 36 inch span so stay tuned with the plastic honeycomb you have fiberglass on either side now this this right here is a mylar film mostly you can see how it folds off when we ship it to you have that on it that's just to protect it during transit now when it comes to the weight of these panels the plastic honeycomb has fiberglass on the other side still substantially lighter than the plywood plywood once you add fiberglass resin on either side before you can use it in any kind of real marine application at least you're gonna be sustaining t
