Midway has rolled up the arcade classic Paper Boy onto the Game Boy Color platform and faithfully delivers all the fun of the original version. As classic gaming fans already know, Paper Boy challenges players to pedal through the neighborhood, successfully landing the daily news onto doorsteps and in mailboxes. All the while, players avoid typical obstacles inherent in suburbia: parked and moving cars, pedestrians, potholes, crazed homeowners, road-hogging, wanna-be Harley bikers, and such. To add to Paper Boy's stressful work conditions, players must regularly replenish paper supplies and avoid missing deliveries, which results in lost subscribers. Non-subscribers are prime targets for Paper Boy's deep-seated anger: players rack up bonus points for hurling papers through windows of homes without "scheduled" deliveries.
