hi this is Jim Rassman with the Dallas Morning News and today we are looking at the Piper NV this is a home security camera and it's also a home security system some people are looking at this maybe to take the place of a monitored security system in their house my mom being one of them so she was really glad I was reviewing this today so the piper at its core is a security camera it has a hundred and eighty degree fisheye lens so it's a round picture but you can pinch and zoom in on the image to see almost everything you know in the field of view so you can set this up on a mantle or in the corner of your room it has motion detection here and so when it senses motion it can record a video clip and it can notify you you like an alarm system the piper is controlled by an app from a phone or a tablet I have it on the tablet here to show you a little bit bigger but there are different mode
