I've got two different m42 two Nikon f-mount adapters I'm gonna quickly fill you in on what you need to know to not damage the mount of your camera or your hands these can be slightly difficult to remove the first thing to keep in mind is with the Nikon f-mount the flange distance so from the focal plane to where the lens mounts is larger than the m42 mount cameras which makes focusing to infinity difficult that is why this adapter has some some glass in it that allows it to then focus to infinity the problem with the glass is that it's not good in any sort of way and it ruins the optical qualities of the lens you really don't want to mess with the final element that will have the largest negative effects I took a couple test images with the adapter that won't let you focus to infinity and the one that will and the one that does not let you focus to infinity is much better so you kind o
