if you look on project's website you can see that they have six lines of phono preamps today we will be looking at the lower end of their lineup specifically the e line and the C line which include three phono preamps that all cost under $100 the PhonoBox E the Phono Box mm and the basic phono box also known as the DC at first glance I understood the e line to be the budget entry point into their products with inferior quality in specs while the C line preamps were brother and sister amps with only one supporting moving maintenance while the other supported both moving maintenance and moving coil cartridges but the specs for ease products show that this might not in fact be the case on paper the E and the mm are almost indistinguishable from each other apart from a slightly lower distortion level from the mm and a comparison video I made in 2018 proved that in fact they do sound the sam
