First, make sure that your USB cable is in working condition(Not Included). Connect cable, charge for 10 minutes, press and hold P3 button for 3 seconds.
Second, disconnect cable and wait one or two seconds (the lights must stops blinking and only 1 light stays on).
Third, the DS3 controller is now syncronized with PS3 console. If the sync fails, reset the controller by pressing and holding the small hole on the back of the controller with a needle or paperclip.
