[Music] welcome to toy at a time with Timmy the tool man and Shawn today what we got for you is a replacement of your door key lock cylinder and I'm also going to show you how to program your key fob now in this video I'm not going to show you how to remove the entire door handle assembly I'm just gonna show you how to remove the key cylinder itself now the reason I'm replacing the key cylinder is mainly because of my driver-side I put the key in there and it doesn't really turn this is because I had a new key cut from Toyota and because the key is cut so precisely to the vehicles VIN it actually doesn't fit in the tumbler very well and it doesn't activate it very well the passenger side works really well I imagine it hasn't been used as much as the driver's side and so my plan is to swap the key cylinders from the driver to the passenger side and vice versa and hopefully get some funct
