I John hunter with rel acoustics here I'm our lead designer and I'm here to take you through the latest iteration of the serious we had some pretty lofty goals for these the original ones when so many awards on three different continents that we had to really take a deep hard look at ourselves to figure out how we were gonna make it a lot better in the end we decided that we needed to make the home theater point one LFE performance just much much stronger than it has been on the original s's and we also wanted to take a stab at improving the high end to channel performance to that end what we wound up doing was going to an 800 watt 12 inch active driver combination with a passive 12 that we had to completely redesign to keep up with the new driver and the combination is magical you've got something that is incredibly linear below 30 Hertz we're about 10 DB louder than the outgoing s's w
