one of the most common questions I get about Polaroid cameras is how to replace the batteries when you first pick up a camera from a flea market or you dig one up in the basement it's probably not gonna do anything you're gonna try to turn it on and remove it and it doesn't seem to work and the reason for that is that the camera is actually powered by its film pack there's no place to put in double-a batteries or anything like that the camera is actually powered by the film cartridge itself so if it doesn't have a film cartridge in it or if there's one that's really old most likely it's not gonna do anything so the good thing is that to get a camera up and running usually all you got to do is buy some new film from Polaroid originals stick it in there and you're good to go now Polaroid cartridges usually had a battery enough power for about 10 exposures and about 10 uses of the flash so
