it's not the best lens not by a long stretch but it is my favorite lens and it's what i consider the most fun lens that sony made for the alpha series of cameras and in this video i'm going to tell you why it's a 20 millimeter prime lens in terms of focal length on the sony alpha cropped sensor it's a 30 millimeter equivalent even though this lens is made specifically for aps-c sensors the lens is compatible with full-frame sony bodies that accept the e-mount those cameras recognize this lens and crop their sensors down to aps-c size automatically when mounted it has a maximum aperture of 2.8 which is relatively fast and enough for most casual use cases the lens has six elements in six groups and focuses internally with a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 meters which i think is about 0.66 feet it's got an aperture ring which can be used for manual focusing but as usual focus is by wire
