hello my name is rich Howard owner of architectural Builders Supply this video is to bring you a closer look at the Don Joe number cfk - 71 - 630 this is a four by 16 stainless push plate that's going to have a preparation in it for a lock it's not a cylinder in the sense that the diameter of the hole in this is two and 1/8 so this would be a plate that you're going to use when you are installing a deadbolt through it is the bottom line okay so that's where you're gonna see this very commonly you're gonna see this in restroom applications of public facilities like a park district or a school or any sort of application where you've got a door and you probably have push and pull hardware or a push plate with a deadbolt it could be a double-acting door as well where you have to push plates but you do lock up that double-acting door it could be a kitchen application not on a path of egress
