Description
This 4-inch-long industrial blade is designed to fit the 10559 and 10560 safety knives by Slice. Once installed, the blade extends to a maximum cutting depth of about 3 inches. This length is ideal for thick, soft materials such as insulation, foam, and batting. While other companies make long blades for this purpose, they’re Often made from quick-dulling metal, which means they start overly sharp in order to extend the life of the blade. This dangerous workaround sacrifices user safety. Other ceramic knives also mimic this over sharpened edge. Slice blades have a proprietary grind that is safe to the touch. Our blades start at an effective sharpness and stay there up to 11 times longer than steel, so you can save your fingers and your money. The 10538 Blade, with its Round Tip, protects against punctures and doesn't require special sharps box disposal. Slice blades are made from 100 percent zirconium Oxide, an extremely hard advanced ceramic that is safe in temperatures from -40 to 1600 degrees, Celsius. This material is non-conductive, non-magnetic, chemically inert, and never rusts. It requires no maintenance, oil coating, or lubrication. The 10538 blades come in packs of four and fit in both the manual retraction and auto-retraction models of our industrial knives. Other blade options for these knives include pointed tip and serrated edge. Both professionals (in construction, HVAC, etc. ) and homeowners alike will appreciate the safety and longevity of the industrial blades. The edges work Particularly well to cut insulation, batting, and thick foam. Slice blades have become a favorite of safety managers because they are effective and they reduce injuries in manufacturing settings. As with all blades, This product is not intended to withstand a side load; please don’t use it as a screwdriver or pry bar. We do not recommend using the blade against materials such as wood, extremely hard metals, or concrete. Slice donates one percent of global profits to autism res
