here we have a Playstation 3 with a bad optical drive and so we are going to be replacing it this is how it works you want to see the model that you have this is a PlayStation phat CEC HL 0 1 now I am using a blu-ray drive that is the almost the same as the but this this drive that I have here is a CEC hh0 something I don't remember I'll put a link in the description below because you have to make sure that you have the same drive if you're just going to do a straight swap this is a 60 pin ribbon and the one that's in here is a 24 pin ribbon that goes onto the openness up here the daughter board that's the daughter board right there but the gets all of the other guts including the laser and everything are the same on this model and this model here so I'm going to be swapping out the the daughter board so that I can have all of the other mechanical pieces and the laser functioning that's
