in this video I'm gonna show you how to upgrade the firmware on your Sony NEX mirrorless camera let's get right into it [Music] so before you update the firmware on your NEX camera you obviously need to know if you need to so I'm gonna show you how to see what firmware version you have right now and it's the same process for all NEX cameras but I'm using nex-5n for example so first things first head right into the menu here and then go to the setup tab which is the bottom right and then now you're gonna be in this big menu and basically scroll all the way down well basically all the way down until you see version right there so right there it says displays the camera software version and lens version so click on that and as you can see it says body nex-5n and it'll be whatever camera body that you have and then version so this is a version 1.00 this is the first firmware version and so
