SparkFun (PID 13884) LED Driver Breakout - LP55231

the lp 55 321 LED driver breakout allows you to drive up to nine LEDs at varying brightness levels using only an I squared C interface what's cool about this chip in particular is that along with directly controlling each channel of PWM you can also pre program the LED behavior using the onboard led offload engine by sending all the instructions over I squared C to the LED offload engine you can avoid having to control all of those LEDs individually using your host controller so while this is doing all of the complex LED driving your host controller only has to worry about communicating with this over I squared C on the breakout we've included three RGB LEDs which makes up the nine output channels of the chip so you can get started playing with it right away but if you want to hook it up to external LEDs you can jump those out using these solder jumpers on the back we've also included t
