A few videos ago we took a look at integrated tool storage, and since then I’ve been obsessed with finding the perfect “no-backpack” setup. A lot of you have expressed confusion about my crusade against hydration packs, and to that I say it’s all a matter of preference. I find all gear including helmets to be distracting and uncomfortable, but I still acknowledge that gear can be necessary. I’m not gonna be ditching my helmet, and I’m certainly not going to ditch my hydration pack on a desert epic. But on 2 hour ride on a cool spring day, you can bet your ass I’ll be leaving my backpack at home. So today, we’ll be testing several styles of water bottle cages to see which can actually retain a bottle when things get dicey. It’s hard to recreate the conditions on a bike trail and repeat them consistently, so I decided to make a contraption that could repeatedly subject these cages to
