Sun Race m37 7sp Right Shifter Twist

hey viewers i was working on this bike and there's a problem with the grip shift shifter on here it's not holding gears so let me show you what i mean if i go ahead and pedal and i shift up it just slides right back around now normally there's like a little clicker spring in there that works like a ratchet mechanism that will click and hold the gear in each individual gear but there's no clicking and it's not holding the gear so my guess is there's some problem with that little uh clicker spring in there it may have broken it may have fallen out of place or maybe for some reason it's missing altogether like somebody took it apart and never put that thing back i don't know so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna take this apart and see if i can fix it the first thing i want to do is remove this grip here and how i'm going to do that is i want to open a little bit of space under that and get so
