hi everyone this video is going to show you how I mounted a red dot sight specifically the vortex venom sight to my pistols rear sights dovetail slot since pistol mounted red dot sights are becoming increasingly popular I wanted to try one for myself in watching the video you might ask why I chose to use a mount that uses the same slot as the rear sight and not having the top of the slide cut I did this for a couple of reasons number one and most importantly to me is that I didn't want to potentially and permanently ruin my gun if I discovered that I didn't like using a red dot sight and number two the cost factor the mount you'll see in the video cost me twenty five dollars if I wanted to have my guns slide cut to accommodate the red dot sight that would have cost me a couple of hundred dollars now if I like using a pistol mounted red dot sight I'll gladly pay the money and have my sli
