oh and welcome back to t15 today we'll be taking a look at how to replace your laptop's DVD drive with mere a drive so I bought a new laptop recently this one came with a DVD drive pre-installed and I want it to play blu-rays so we're going to replace the drive on the right hand side do this you first need to remove usually one screw and it's usually the screw that's out of line with all the other ones there's two screws and the line there and a screw out on its own and that screws out on its own because it's actually locking in the DVD drive right here now it takes a little coaxing but it comes out to keep catching on the case and we can take it up and look up the model number what we need to do so we need to understand the thickness of this drive but not all drivers are equal I do have this one here which is gonna fit inside my laptop if I looked up what the DVD drive is and I made su
