welcome to crosstalk solutions my name is Chris and today we're gonna be taking a look at the ubiquity Oh this thing's heavy ubiquity edge switch 48 500 watt so this is sort of their Big Daddy edge switch 48 ports with two SFP ports and two sfp+ ports and more features than you could ever possibly use in a switch you could actually configure these Ubiquiti switches as routers if you want I've never done that I you like to use a router as a router but it is possible there are more features in this thing than I can even describe to you so let's take a look at what comes inside the box first of all these things are pretty hefty but they're supposed to be I mean these are a serious data center switch but they come at a pretty decent price when you compare them to comparable HP or Cisco switches the 48 port 500 watt version is about seven hundred and sixty dollars u.s. and the edge switch 48
