the fitting i'm going to make today is the three piece 90. the first thing you want to do is you want to determine where the 90 starts by using your tool you can use the ruler and the tool and i'm going to make a a mark at six inches in and that is where the fitting is going to start and that's where i'm going to begin my starting point right there to make a three-piece 90 i need to use the 22 and a half to degree side that's this right here this is the 22 and a half degree side i'm going to make a nice mark across the tool i'm sorry across the duct and then i'm also going to use a three inch throat on the 90. so to make a three inch throat on the 90 i'm going to look at the scale here and let's say i'm going to make a four inch throat on the 90. the distance between the two lines for three piece is five and five eighths so i'm going to use my tool here to figure out what that is and 5
