Our original model of the 4010 (the X-Tronic 4010-XTS Unit) was first introduced to the USA Market in 2008 and has been one of X-Tronic's most successful selling Digital Soldering Iron Stations since the company started in business. This unit was manufactured for the Amateur as well as the Professional and Features PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) Technology Program Controller.

This PID Program in our new X-Tronic 4010-XR3 Model has now been enhanced and allows for much quicker temperature correction to maintain constant temperature stability and now cycles every 30 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron's heating element and quickly corrects it with a rapid return to the correct set temperature.

This new X-Tronic 4010-XTS-2 (Generation 2 Edition) still has all of the Great Features of the Original 4010-XTS, but we have added a 10 Minute Sleep Function and a New Quick Temp Heavy Duty Ceramic Heating Element. This New Unit will heat up from 200°C to 480°C or 392°F to 896°F in less than 30 Seconds
