The last 12 months have been a whirlwind for the Oklahoma State University Men’s Golf Team. Last May they won the NCAA National Championship, five team members were named All-American, Mathew Wolff was the nation’s top freshman, and head coach, Alan Bratton was Coach of the Year. Viktor Hovland was the U.S Amateur Champion and the Low Amateur at the Master’s. The top ranked Cowboys then won the Big 12 Championship, and now try to repeat as NCAA Champions. It’s one more chapter in the history of this legendary program. The success of Cowboy Golf is due in large part to the stability in leadership. The program was established in 1947 and remarkably, has only had four head coaches: Labron Harris, Mike Holder, Mike McGraw, and Alan Bratton.
