Apex RBDT502 Durable Converter Box (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

[Music] so i'm going to do a follow-up on that apex digital converter box that i fixed a few weeks back but i couldn't test it because i couldn't locate the remote control well i found the remote control for it now so we're going to fire it up see what i can pick up with this thing see how sensitive the tuner is using basically a wet piece of string as an antenna because it's not a proper hd antenna it's just a piece of wire but let's see what happens so a little look back on this this was the apex dtv converter box we had a power supply failure on this one there's a big hole in the middle of the the mosfet control ic uh basically a mosfet transistor with the control circuitry it's got a big hole blown in it so we don't really know what the number of it is i had a little uh wallboard a little switching power supply that had the same type of ic with the same pin out so i had feeling that
