Your Response System Keypad

In this video, we’ll be troubleshooting a keypad that is completely blank and unresponsive to your button inputs. This can mean two different things, there is an electrical issue with the system and it is not getting power or the system needs service from a repair technician. This power supply is usually plugged into an outlet located in your basement or utility room in or near a closet and in some cases, your attic or garage. Once you have located the power supply touch it with the back of your hand to test its temperature. It should be warm to the touch but not uncomfortably hot. Then verify that the power supply is plugged in and is secure. If the transformer is not plugged in. Plug it in and secure it in its place. This will restore the power to the alarm system. When your keypad powers back on, it will likely display an error. You can clear this error by entering your four digit co
