Philip Freneau, the Huguenot Patriot Poet of the Revolution, and his Poetry

hi founder fans jason here and today's founder is philip freneaux the father of american poetry before we get started i want to remind you to hit like and if you're new here subscribe i put out videos about the american revolution five days a week so philip fernando was from a wealthy new jersey family and as such he attended college he went to what was then called the college of new jersey but we now know it today as princeton university while he's there among many other things he made fast friends with one james madison who would go on to do things like be president and write the constitution so anyway for no was a poet at hartney even though he wrote a few pamphlets against great britain he ended up going to the west indies for several years but when the american revolution broke out he ended up joining a privateership he became captain of a privateership and they went around trying
