The Zavio CD6230 is a motorized outdoor IP dome camera that records at up to 30 frames per second in 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution. The CD6230 features a 1/2.8 inch Starlight CMOS image sensor and an adjustable 2.8~12mm lens. Rather than manually adjusting the lens, the lens of this camera is motorized and can be automatically adjusted from the camera's web interface.

Built-in infrared illuminators have an effective range of 35 meters / 115 feet to allow for continuous recording in environments with little to no ambient lighting. To further enhance the infrared capability of this camera, Smart IR Technology is built-in to adjust the intensity of the LEDs when objects move in front of the camera to prevent the image from whiting out.

WDR, also known as Wide Dynamic Range, creates an image close to that of the human eye by combining the darkest part of the image with the brightest part. This is essential in environments with very dark or bright backlighting, such as a building entrance or alleyway.

An IP67 / IK10 rated enclosure protects the vital components of the camera from harsh weather, dust, humidity, direct impact, and acts of vandalism. This camera can be powered by either 12V-DC or POE (Power over Ethernet), which allows for both data and power to be run over a single Cat-5 cable.

Like all Zavio cameras, the CD6230 includes a free 64 channel Windows-based recording software that allows the user to view live video, playback recorded video, and adjust the settings of the camera from a single point.
