hi in this video I'm going to talk about a techniques linear tracking turntable you may not have seen or even heard of a linear turntable or you might be thinking about buying one well keep watching and I'll tell you all about them so before we take a look about let me tell you more about why linear turntable actually is and how it works rather than the curved path of a conventional tonearm where the cartridge angle changes as it travels along the record linear turntable uses the mechanism to pull the stylus along in a straight line keeping the cartridge aligned all the way along the record normally the style is an arm only by the grooves of the record only the arm on a linear system is still free to pivot with the motion of the record and the grooves but as soon as the sensor notice is a misalignment between the arm and the groove the arm will be moved to compensate and keep the stylus
