so your audition book is a binder that you bring with you that has the music that you want to present in auditions in my opinion in your audition book you should only have songs that you actually know and that have gone well for you I don't want to see songs in there that you're kind of working on or thinking about adding because people end up flipping through those books and auditions and then they say hey can you sing this and you don't know it and it just makes everyone feel awkward and it's not a good idea so you only want to have things in there that are actually ready to go I would say that for an average amount of songs between like 12 and 15 is great 20 in my opinion is maximum we don't need to carry every song with us that we know we want to get down to the songs that feel the most versatile and that land the best for us in the room so we're looking for about 12 to 15 as like a
