in this video I'm going to show you how to repair a ceiling fan capacitor that's causing our fan to not spin at high speed there could be another cause for this problem and it could be that your pull chain has gone bad or that the control unit inside the fan has gone bad causing the the single-speed in our case we have a couple of these fans so I was able to swap the control units around and verify that this fan is bad to go over the capacitor is bad every fan is different some capacitors or underneath some capacitors are on top so don't use this video as a direct guide on how to repair your fan you just use it as information on how to get yours done to help you so first thing I need to do is I need to turn off the power I'll turn off the fan turn off the power and then take it off the ceiling because our capacitor is on top I've taken the fan off of the ceiling and I've removed the cov
