hi and welcome back today we're going to be looking at the PCV system on your engine now this 350 small block it's closed stock meeting tell us a little bit different now one thing I have different stock it's a breather back there which usually you just have a tube that runs to the bottom of stock air cleaner the same principle there's a filter inside that that way you don't get dirt and debris inside the engine now this is a chief system to maintain considering you can go buy a new valve for five bucks usually but what this system does is it pulls the pressure out of the crankcase now as you're driving along and the motor gets up to operating temperature you go up hills and you pull trailer you can be rough on the motor driving down the hot Highway higher rpms fast acceleration racing etc the pressure is building up inside the crank case it's got to go somewhere typically what happens
