Arris Touchstone Panoramic TG1682G Wireless Telephony Cable Internet Modem Gateway Docsis 3.0 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (Not For Comcast)

I want to make a quick video and talk about cable internet access and cable modems and as you'll see there is one game in town in my city and that is Comcast Xfinity so they've got a monopoly here there's no real competition AT&T has some really crappy DSL really slow DSL so it's not really any competition so Comcast charges an excessive amount and you know they have the world's worst customer support they really rip you on modems they charge $10 a month just to rent a modem well the reason you see a new sealed modem there is because today I went down to the Comcast office pretty much begged them to hand me a modem because for the past year I've been using this this is a zoom model five three five four it's a decent looking little finger printed up right now but it's got a four port router built into it a four port switch it's got a Wi-Fi router built into it does 2.4 gigahertz I think
