(upbeat music) - Quick release fittings are describing a fitting that's used when we are taking apart and putting back together a connection frequently. It gives us the opportunity to have a piece of tubing connected with a break. And when we pull 'em apart and put 'em back together frequently, this is the best way to do that. As opposed to a quick connect fitting where that connection is gonna be a little bit more permanent. (upbeat music) Quick release fittings work by having two components and the two components are the coupling body and the insert. And depending upon the application what you're attached to the coupling body connects with the insert and they snap together to make a water tight seal. If we're working with a flavor bag for a beverage dispenser or even in a medical application where we have some solution that we don't want to drip out when we disconnect the connections.
