[Music] hi captain wrong with the GPS star we usually do our videos out on the water but today we're on land doing some boat work so we thought this would be a good time to address one of the most mysterious subjects in marine electronics transducers next category a transducer we're gonna look at is what they call low profile through hall or a flush mount it's called this because this goes through a hole in the hull however this this little part here actually protrudes beneath the hall so this allows you to mount the transducer in a place where you'll get a good straight shot at the bottom a lot of them are called tilted elements the transducer housing could be tilted yet the beam is shooting straight down and it reduces the effects of cavitation so this makes this a very good choice for high-speed boats where you don't want anything interfering with the performance of the hull it's a v
