caddis maximus here just a little quick uh bench review of these vermont american straight flute extractors these are always kind of handy because they have a distinct advantage over spiral extractors and that's the fact they are straight flute so when you push them in or you actually hammer them in that they're less likely to actually expand the fastener that you've drilled out or maybe the piece of tubing that you're trying to extract and in many situations makes life easier although sometimes they don't always work sometimes they'll slip and when that happens since they do just have a sharp tooth on them they'll machine out a cone-shaped hole making it even more difficult to uh you then you really have to use spiral extractors but they certainly are handy in many situations and if you have uh some kind of uh fastener that's in a you know hole with a very thin wall say on an aluminum
