all Heath Zenith motion sensing security lights are designed to give the greatest amount of flexibility with your installation with an adjustable sensor and lamps our security lights allow you to make adjustments to fit your individual needs there are a few important things to keep in mind when setting up your security light you need to make sure the lamp holders are aimed down at least thirty degrees below horizontal to avoid water damage and possible electric shock when adjusting the lamps and sensor make sure the sensor is below the lamps and there's proper clearance between the lamps and the sensor or any combustible material maintain at least a one-inch side clearance for incandescent lamps and a two-inch side clearance for halogen lamps also do not rotate the lamp holders more than 180 degrees from the factory setting and as a warning do not aim the lamps at a combustible surface
