It is seamlessly compatible with 802.11b/g/n devices. The USB dongle is used to provide wireless internet to your desktop PC, or laptop, which doesn't have an integrated wifi connection. It works on all Windows devices, including Windows 2000, XP, 7, 8 and 10. I am using the mini CD to install the driver on my PC. As you can see, I am choosing the second option, which is "Install driver only". I tested the wireless adapter on my desktop PC, which works with Windows XP and doesn't have any wifi on it, and it worked like a charm.
