hello and welcome today to my fifth video in my vintage audiophile Channel today we'll be reviewing the Bang & Olufsen Bo gram 5000 turntable produced in the late 70s early 80s 40 years ago this was considered a space-age design that nobody else really had out there some people were turned off by that but but they also sold quite a few of them here in America as well as around the world this is a turntable that even in by today's standard looks pretty badass pardon my pardon my language this particular model has a open button here where you just push it and it automatically opens up for you the light turns on to light up your platter area so you can see what you're doing it'll go up so far and then you can just put it up the rest of the way to get your record in there as you can see it's got a very small almost anemic looking turntable cartridge and and head shell and all that stuff on
