hello my name is Kevin Allison from fire monitoring of Canada and welcome to our tech tips video today we're going to teach you how to remove a battery from a DSC wireless motion detector you may need to change a battery at some point in the life of a wireless motion detector usually every four or five years this can prevent service calls and false alarms from your system you will need a small Phillips head screwdriver and a replacement battery cr123 or 123 a DSC motion detectors are installed on a mounting plate for easy removal so the first thing we have to do is take the unit off of that mounting plate on the bottom of the motion detector there is a small screw use your Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screw keep this in a safe place using one hand firmly grip the motion detector and slide it up and off of the mounting plate on the back of the motion at the top there's a small
