Today, we are going to show you how to properly
inflate a Polyform buoy. First, use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew
the cap from the air valve. You may use either an air compressor or a
Polyform Hand Pump to inflate the buoy. If using an air compressor, set the compressor
to 30 psi or less, place the compressor nozzle over the valve airway of the buoy, and inflate
up to a maximum of 2 psi. No special attachment or tip is needed. When using the hand pump, simply insert the
nozzle into the air valve and pump until full. The valve flap may not fully open when using
a Polyform Hand Pump; therefore, you may need to insert a blunt object--such as a small
screwdriver or awl--prior to inflation. After inflation, you should be able to make
a quarter-inch indentations with your fingers. However, the buoy should still be fairly firm. Then, use your screwdriver to tighten the
