turntable weights and clamps are not the same thing weights slide onto the spindle and are quite heavy clamps screw onto the spindle or apply pressure without adding weight this video will only discuss record weights however both of these products serve similar functions to reduce vinyl warping and to improve sound in this video we will test both of these claims of which I have always been skeptical I mean how much difference can adding weight to the middle label have on the outer edge of warped records a ring clamp I understand I just don't have anywhere near the thousand dollars laying around to buy an accessory so we're stuck just testing this guy out today but chin up let's try it out there is absolutely an improvement with the weight no question and from this angle you can see how the warp side of the record really does flatten when I add the weight let's move into our second round
