welcome to no more risk today I'd like to talk to you about a safeguard when dispensing liquids that burn the FM approved safety bottle now when dispensing liquids from a drum you have to get air in for the liquid to come out now I could remove this bung and air can get in through that open hole and liquid can get out but soak in the vapors and if this drum were exposed to a fire the fire would be able to get in through the hole to the flammable air mixture on the other hand if I put the bung in tightly now the air can't get in so the liquid can't get out and if this drum is exposed to a fire it will pressurize and ultimately burst and that drum failure will generate a big fireball and a pressure wave and flying shrapnel from what used to be this drum the FM approved safety bung mitigates both drum failure scenarios this device has a means for venting the excessive pressure that would d
