hello this is chris passage from the critical listener and today we're to be discussing the TX 550 and the 570 and the more expensive model of this includes both a defeatable preamp as well as a USB output for digital recording I want to make it very clear that the 550 n does not include a preamp even though literature online and some places that sell it believe it does but as you can see in the photos there is absolutely no preamp on this let alone a defeatable one as the 570 NS so please take our word for it you need a preamp if you're going to use the TX 550 n now there's little bit of controversy with this turntable because the 550 and the 570 sell themselves as having a marble plinth some people have correctly stated that such as a plinth made out of marble dust in a factory where it's pre-molded it's not a piece of model that's been cut from the earth just like a great carat aqua
