what's up guys I just got this in from Amazon the other day it's a battery disconnect it's the switch that breaks out the negative side of the battery circuit that way if you plan on leaving your car for a long time without charging in this is a good way to do it you don't need a trickle charger it's also a good secondary theft deterrent you can kill the battery that way the car won't start it's also recommended that you run hood locks that way you can reconnect it so it's a simple design it's two brass pieces that are separated by a nylon spacer in the middle there's a threaded rod when you tighten that down it connects both of them together and completes the circuit so you just want to remove the negative cable off the battery then install the switch in between both of them it only one fits one way so you can't get around the battery posts are different sizes typically than positive s
