welcome to turntable class with GB audio we're doing the duel 505 today if the deck isn't turning as indeed this one isn't and it spins freely like this then that the belt is probably broken or slipped off or is perished with age it's a straightforward job to change it and get your deck back up and running it's a good idea to remove the head shell and cartridge so that they can't accidentally get damaged to replace the main drive belt the first thing we have to do is take off the platter start with the rubber mat which just lifts off the platter here unlike the Japanese decks doesn't just lift off it's located with a little plastic holder in the middle here if we stated the platter and use a pair of fine nosed pliers we can just give that plastic collar little turn from the center of the platter there we go good that's somewhere safe then platter we'll just lift up and off what we can i
