in this video I'm going to show you how to connect your cable modem to a router let's get started okay so what I did was I turned around the cable modem and the router so you can see the back of course on the router you've got a lot of various ports and of course on the back of the cable modem you've got a variety of connection points this is actually a fairly simple process you're going to need to have an Ethernet cable which I'm holding in my hand right here it has the larger phone jack looking plug and if you were to look right inside there you would see as many as eight little conductor wires if yours only has four that will probably work as well so it's a real simple process what we're going to do is we're going to plug one end of that wire into the cable modem it snaps in and then we're going to take the other end and there's a port that's on the back of your router now if your ro
