TurntableBelt for JVC L-A11 Turntable Belt

hello welcome to turntable class with gb audio today on the bench i've got a jvcla11 this is a fairly typical belt drive turntable from the late 70s the setup format of this deck is quite similar to a lot of other japanese decks like pioneer sony trio and so on so this little tutorial will be quite useful if you have any similar belt drive turntable we're just going to take a look at this now let's switch it on first of all clip the arm let's raise the arm up and we bring the arm across which normally starts the platter we can hear a little click of the switch but the turntable's not turning so we're gonna have to investigate this let's return the arm and secure it and let's have a look see what's going on under here so we remove the rubber platter and then with two fingers clatter should just lift off might be a bit stiff but it will it's not held on any other way than gravity uh okay
