my name is Kevin Allison's from fire monitoring of Canada and welcome to our tech tips video today we're gonna teach you how to change a battery and a DSC slimline wireless door contact you may need to change a battery at some point in the life of a wireless slimline door contact usually every four or five years this can prevent service calls and false alarms from your system you will need a small flat-head screwdriver and replacement batteries cr2032 DSC slimline door contacts are installed on a mounting plate for easy removal so the first thing we have to do is take the unit off of that mounting plate you will notice on one end of the door contact that there is a small notch insert the flathead screwdriver into this notch and pop the front cover off of the door contact your devices will be mounted to the wall but I've removed it here so at that it is easier to see your keypad may star
