ASGS Terminal is a portable or interactive age-verification system that displays age, date of birth, and card expire date. The terminal has a built-in MSR reader (for states that provide a magnetic strip on the drivers' license) and can use an optional 2-D barcode reader for complete coverage of all states. Internal memory stores up to 100 Miilion scans. Display age, DOB & expiration date when ID is scanned. Expired ID alert., Birthday Alert. No buttons to press: Simply swipe IDs. -Battery Operation: GuardScanTM age-verification software (included) for use with the Scanner, is designed to assist your business in restricting age restricted products to minors and providing a positive defense for your business. GuardScan provides secure age-verification compliance reports, showing the result of each scan. In addition, GuardScanTM also allows your business to ban problem causing customers by immediately alerting you the moment a problem customer is scanned, and may other functions such as recognizing your important customers. GuardScanTM is currently in use by major entertainment studios in Florida, Texas sheriffs' departments, and various other small/medium/large (public and private) businesses across the U.S. GuardScanTM is agile and robust enough to accommodate any business on virtually all platforms, and can be customized for additional reporting and security needs. GuardScan can only be sold and used where legally allowed, so please check your state and local laws before ordering. NOTE: NOT all states support Magnetic Strips and the North American ID/DL standard is almost exclusively 2D Barcode. MSR Compatible States: AL, AZ, CA, CO, LA, MI, MS, NH, NM, OH, TX, however, as the ID standard is moving to 2D barcode, this scanner will need to be upgraded. Please take a look at our 2D scanners for comparison. This unit supports drivers' licenses in states containing a magnetic stripe only.
